How Your Generosity Brings Hope, Life, and Love to Women in Crisis

As we approach the season of gratitude and generosity, I’m reminded of the countless women who walk through our doors carrying questions, fears, and hopes for the future. Their stories are often quiet but deeply powerful—stories of courage, faith, and the difference compassion can make. One such story is Helen’s.

Helping Helen

She had just turned 18 years old when she came to the center with her best friend Susan. Helen was nervous and shy when she asked for help. Not trusting the over-the-counter pregnancy test she came in for confirmation. What Helen discovered that day was Susan wasn’t her only friend. Our caring staff helped her answer all her questions. We helped guide her and support her in her decision. From the first free pregnancy test through free ultrasounds the clinic was there for Helen. When she just needed to talk, Helen received sympathetic and informed counseling. Helen attended parenting classes and took advantage of free diapers and baby supplies. In her time of need Helen found friendly people willing to give.

A Cup of Coffee, a Grateful Heart, and a Call to Give

This morning, I sat down with my cup of coffee, watching the steam rise while the autumn sun slipped in through the window. It’s one of those moments when life slows down just enough to notice the beauty, the chill in the air, and the reminder that another season is here.
This time of year, always brings me to gratitude. Maybe it does for you, too. I think about blessings both big and small, the sound of children’s laughter, the joy of family gathered around a table, the gift of health, or even just the comfort of a warm blanket on a cold day. Scripture reminds us, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). And with each little blessing, I feel nudged toward one question: how can I pass this blessing on?

The Joy of Giving

There’s a joy that comes from giving. Think about a time when someone unexpectedly gave to you, maybe they picked up the check at a restaurant, or a simple word of encouragement on a hard day. Those small acts don’t just meet a need, they remind us we’re not alone.
That’s the beauty of generosity. It has a ripple effect. And it doesn’t have to be extravagant. Sometimes it’s the smallest gifts that make the greatest difference. Proverbs 11:25 says, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” When we give, God has a way of refreshing our own hearts, too.

That’s where your generosity makes the difference. Because of supporters like you, we can offer:

  • Free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds, giving women clarity in moments of uncertainty.
  • Compassionate counseling and support, reminding her she is valued and never forgotten.
  • Practical help like baby supplies, parenting classes, and community referrals to meet her needs.

Each dollar given to [name of center], helps us create a safe place where women can hear the words they may desperately need: “You are not alone. There is hope.” Your gift isn’t just funding a program; it’s changing the trajectory of a life. It’s helping a mother choose life for her child. It’s showing a family that there are people who care enough to walk with them in their journey.

A Warm Invitation

As I finish my coffee, I can’t help but think: what if we all leaned into generosity this season? What if, instead of being swept up in the holiday rush, we paused to give our time, our resources, our love to those who need it most?
Giving Tuesday isn’t about pressure; it’s about possibility. It’s about saying “yes” to being part of a story bigger than us. It’s about being there for someone like Helen.
So, friend, will you join me this year? Let’s open our hearts and hands to women who are searching for hope. Let’s give so that every woman who comes through our doors knows she’s seen, valued, and loved, not just by us, but by the One who created her.
Because in the end, generosity reflects the greatest gift of all: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…” (John 3:16).

How You Can Join Us at [name of center]?
Giving Tuesday falls on December 2, 2025. I’d like to invite you, to join us in this day of generosity.
Here are some ways you can take part:
💲Give financially - Every gift, no matter the size, helps us serve women in our community. A small donation can provide a pregnancy test, while a larger one may cover the cost of an ultrasound.
📆Give your time - Volunteer with us—whether it’s mentoring, sorting donations, or offering a listening ear.
🙏🏻Give your voice - Share our mission with your friends, family, and community. A simple post or conversation could inspire someone else to give.
No act of generosity is too small. Just like the widow’s offering in Mark 12, God takes even the smallest gifts and multiplies them beyond what we can see.

This Giving Tuesday, let’s give with joy, with love, and with faith.

Together, we can be the reason a woman chooses hope, chooses life, and chooses to believe in a brighter tomorrow.
